Anti-bullying
School year 2011-2012

All  students are asked to wear their "Reach Out in Friendship" t-shirts on All School Share days.


All students know if they are bullied:
1. Person - ask them to stop! Tell them "I don't like that! Use their voice.
2. Closest Adult- Bus driver, Custodian, secretary, cook, and teachers
3. Principal-If they have tried all the above.

Jan. 30th -- Telling Vs Tattling-- I read the book A Bad Case of Tattle Tongue by Julia Cook.  Then explained the differece to students between telling and tattling.

We have begun our Anti-bullying lesson this week 9/13/11

Grades K,1, 2 Listened to the story "The Ant Bully"  and we discussed what bullying is and what to do if you are bullied.

Grades 3, 4 and 5- Listened to the story " The Brand New Kid" by Katie Couric and we discussed how to get help if you are bullied and ways to help a friend.
